For those keeping score, the former WWE Women’s Champion has missed the better part of the last 12 months for a variety of reasons. Following the 2023 Royal Rumble, Bliss missed time for both health and extracurricular reasons. In the projects bucket, Alexa Bliss had a chance to be one of a couple pro wrestlers featured on FOX’s “The Masked Singer.
Once that was completed, she missed a bit more time. She had a health scare as she underwent tests for a skin cancer concern. The happy ending to that health scare is what saw her miss most of 2023. Shortly after getting the all clear from the cancer scare, Bliss and her husband learned they were expecting their first child.
And Baby Makes 3…
The couple welcomed a baby girl, Hendrix, in late November of 2023. Now, a few months after giving birth, Alexa Bliss has shared some news on her social media that had fans (and even WWE television partner USA Network) buzzing. Specifically, as captured by Wrestling Inc, Bliss confirmed that she was getting back after it. Hard not to read this as she’s getting back into the workout phase of things. Ideally, she’s preparing for an in-ring return.
Of course, there has not been any idea of a timeframe for her return. It is believed that her WWE contract was extended last year. And, as WWE is known to do for Superstars who miss time, odds are they extended it further to cover the maternity time as well.
Going to throw this out there, because why not. Alexa Bliss is from Columbus, Ohio. This year’s SummerSlam will be in Cleveland. It would not exactly be a homecoming. But it would be in her home state…so why not a Bliss return in August?
