A marquee WWE performer from their developmental territory, NXT, has been making significant waves. Following a history-making weekend, the same superstar has now clinched a major milestone.
Former two-time WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams reflected back on his game-changing week on Instagram. One of his biggest achievements was purchasing his own house. Apart from this huge personal goal, Williams main-evented two pay-per-views, celebrated his birthday, and even had his own rap concert to showcase his music skills.

Trick Willy has emerged to become a top NXT attraction. He started getting attention as Carmelo Hayes’ sidekick. After splitting from Melo following a heated rivalry, Williams began pursuing his own path. In doing so, he battled other top stars on the brand, like Ethan Page and Je’Von Evans. Not only that, Whoop That Trick had a spectacular year in 2024. It marked the rise of Williams as a legitimate top singles star.
He won the NXT Championship twice. The first time he did it was by defeating the Mad Dragon, Ilja Dragunov. It was a highly captivating bout in the main event of NXT Spring Breakin last year. Following that, he was positioned as the face of the brand. Last weekend, Trick Williams created history like no other. The NXT star defeated the highly popular Joe Hendry in a singles match. With his victory, Trick became the first active WWE superstar to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. The match was the main event for their Premium Live Event, WWE NXT Battleground.
Now, Trick Williams has become a history maker. So, it will be interesting to see him represent two top brands in professional wrestling at the same time.
