WWE News: Major Vince McMahon Ally Reportedly Turns On Him To Get Out Of Sex Trafficking Lawsuit

It looks like one of Vince McMahon’s closet allies, John Laurinaitis, may have flipped on him to get out of the sex trafficking lawsuit they were both defendants in.

McMahon has been able to find his way out of other recent lawsuits filed against him. But the one created by a former employee and mistress, Janel Grant, has ensnared him in some serious trouble. It led to his final downfall in WWE, and even to the company distancing itself from Brock Lesnar after he was mentioned in the case.

However, McMahon is not the only one in hot water. Former WWE executive John Laurinaitis is also a defendant in the ongoing suit. Well, he was until today. On Wednesday, a new filing revealed that the former head of talent relations has been dropped from the case with the approval of Grant and her representatives. And it is for a very specific reason.

“John Laurinaitis has agreed to cooperate and provide evidence in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE,” Grant’s lawyers told POST Wrestling in a statement. “His agreement to a confidential settlement is a pivotal next step toward holding McMahon and WWE accountable. And bringing justice to Ms. Grant after years of sexual abuse and trafficking. Mr. Laurinaitis looks forward to moving on with his life. We cannot provide any additional details at this time.”

That is a major shift in the ongoing case, but not too surprising. Laurinaitis claimed in 2024, after the suit was filed, that he was also a victim of Vince McMahon. Although he later switched sides again and threw his support behind his former boss. This latest flip may confirm the evidence against the WWE founder is rock solid, and he won’t be able to pay his way out of these allegations.

Grant claims McMahon sex trafficked her throughout her employment with the company and that WWE was negligent in the abuse she says occurred.
