This week, Monday Night RAW’s opening segment saw WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins get a beatdown from Finn Balor. With that being said, a report reveals that this may have not been the first plan, as Vince McMahon apparently made some major changes.

Vince McMahon Makes Changes To RAW, Remotely

Fightful Select is stating that VKM made changes to the opening of RAW remotely, as he was not at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Finn attacked Rollins after he made his entrance to “kick off” his open challenge for his World Heavyweight title.

This happened before anyone else could answer Rollins’s challenge. Balor ambushed the champ and hit him with his signature move, Coup de Grace, a total of three times.

The show took a commercial after the attack. However, when Monday Night RAW returned, Finn continued his attack in the backstage area.

These Men Have A History

For those fans that recall, this isn’t the first time Rollins and Balor have feuded. Back in 2016, they faced off to become the first-ever WWE Universal Champion.

The two won their respective qualifying matches. The finals took place during a match at SummerSlam that year.

Balor won the bout that night, becoming the inaugural champ. Still, he got injured during the match and was forced to relinquish the championship the next night on RAW.

Looks like the two men will now battle it out for the new World title at the next WWE premium live event, Money in the Bank (MITB). Finn Balor and Seth Rollins have an incredible dynamic when they face off, both in the ring and on the mic.

The opening segment was likely altered to build up this storyline for MITB. Was VKM correct in making the changes?
