There are three big rumored matches for WrestleMania 40 from Philadelphia and they all involve the female wrestlers of WWE.
Three Big Rumored Matches For WrestleMania 40
We might have just finished with WrestleMania 39, but WWE is already looking towards the future. Typically, they like to have a general idea of what will be the top matches well in advance.
The recent installment saw some people question the main event of night one. That featured Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn defeating The Usos to win all the tag titles.
Outside of inaugural WrestleMania, no other tag team match has closed the show. The most recent one was the first time tag team gold has concluded the grandest show of the year.
Many thought Rhea Ripley defeating Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship should have been the main event. Flair’s point was how their feud was years in the making and Ripley did win the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
The past is the past. Looking ahead to WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, Xero News is reporting three big rumored matches for the women of WWE. They listed Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler, Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair vs. Charlotte Flair as being in early discussions.
Are 3 Big Heel Turns Coming To WWE?
Rousey and Baszler are friends outside of WWE. They currently look like the favorites to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship, which were recently vacated as Liv Morgan is injured.
WWE has already been dropping hints about Lynch and Ripley. At the moment, they are arguably the most over female superstars in WWE.
Belair has been champion for over a year now and has spoken about wanting to face Fair. Since WrestleMania 39, Flair has not returned to TV.
Of course, many things can happen over the next 11 months, so those ideas could change.
So, any thoughts on the three big rumored matches for WrestleMania 40?
