WWE Hall of Famer (HOF) Tammy “Sunny” Sytch was involved in a DUI car accident in April 2022. She was arrested two months later, and now according to reports, she’s entered a “no contest” plea, with the prospect of facing 25 years in jail.

As per a report from TMZ, the WWE HOFer was charged with a DUI causing death, among other charges after pleading not guilty, initially, this past June 2023. This stems from the accident that took the life of Julian Lafrancis Lasseter, age 75.
Another car was involved in the crash. Still, the passengers and drivers of that vehicle had minor injuries that did not need medical assistance.

According to authorities, after the collision, Sunny’s blood alcohol level was three times that of the legal limit. She posted bail after her arrest, but it was soon revoked, resulting in her returning to jail.
In addition, her lawyer would later withdraw from the case. Jury selection for her trial was initially scheduled to start this September, but the “no contest” plea indicates that the case will now directly go to sentencing.

The WWE Hall of Famer could face a maximum prison sentence of 25 years in jail. In addition to her criminal charges, she’s being sued by Lasseter’s family, for the amount of $100,000.
Her relationship with the late Chris Candido was profiled in a recent Dark Side of the Ring episode. According to the show’s producers, they had been trying to tell the story of these two since season 2.
Evan Hunsey and Jason Eisener, DSOTR producers have reportedly tried to reach out a number of times for an interview and maintained correspondence with Sunny for a brief while. However, nothing came of it.
