Sometimes all you have is bad luck, as Jeff Hardy suffers unfortunate injury not long after coming back to AEW.
The injury news was reported by his brother Matt.

In the midst of the action, as Matt put it, Juice Robinson slugged Jeff with a roll of coins, resulting in the unfortunate injury.

As bad as it was, it could have been a lot worse.
Initial suspicions were that Jeff Hardy had sustained a broken jaw. Had that been the case, Hardy could have missed a lot more time in order to recover.
Broken jaws seem to wind up with the individual’s mouth wired shut so that the jaw can heal…since you can’t really put a cast on it.

Jeff Hardy Suffers Unfortunate Injury
But you could actually say that Jeff caught a lucky non-break in the process.
While a dislocated jaw does not sound like fun by any stretch of the imagination, brother Matt said the hope is that Jeff only misses a couple weeks of action.
Considering how much worse it could have been….and keeping in mind just how much time he was just off of AEW programming for?
Losing two or three weeks to a painful dislocated jaw seems like pretty fortunate luck for a change.
No one wants to miss extended time, but a short break to let the damage heal should see the Hardy Brothers teaming back up before the end of July.
