Before the Wednesday, January 10th edition of Dynamite aired, Jeff posted a graphic of the advertised lineup for the night. He also placed the below message in the caption.

He ended up deleting the post, but the message seems pretty clear. Especially after the Hardys expressed their frustration with AEW’s booking of their tag team recently.

About a month ago, during the 100th show of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the two brothers talked about how they wished there was a better way to be utilized within AEW. They both acknowledged they were past their prime but felt the way they were being used wasn’t even ideal when it came to elevating younger talent.

The Hardy Boys were last seen on AEW Dynamite in late November of last year. They have only competed on Rampage, which is considered the promotions’ “C-show”, since making the comments on the podcast.

Was Jeff Hardy Really Complaining Or Was It Kayfabe?

In addition, there was a segment on last week’s Rampage where the Hardys’ frustration was addressed, in kayfabe. Jeff commented on this, stating that his team got a “huge win” on Rampage and that someone “needs to get us” on Dynamite to boost their ratings.

On one side of the coin, the Instagram post from last night could be perceived as furthering the storyline from the promo last week, as their Dynamite absence could be part of the arc. Still, as Jeff did delete it within hours, it looks like it may also be perceived as a legitimate complaint.
