The September 27th episode of AEW Dynamited ended with a bang, which also has wrestling fans speculating over whether or not WWE Hall of Famer Edge will soon become “All Elite”.
Is Edge The Infamous AEW “Attacker”?
During the close to this week’s Dynamite, five masked individuals attacked Jay White. One of them was donning a devil mask that looked similar to MJF’s.
Still, many fans noted that the person in the mask didn’t resemble MJF’s body, which has left many to speculate. Some believe it could be The Kingdom to Wardlow or Adam Cole (faking an injury for storylines).
There’s also the belief that it could be one of the many WWE superstars that just got released. Some are also buzzing that it might be the Rated-R Superstar.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently noted that he’s unsure if Edge is going to All Elite Wrestling. Still, he does state that he knows people in the WWE who believed he was headed there as of a few weeks ago.
Meltzer also revealed that the WWE Hall of Famer’s contract expires this Saturday, which is one day ahead of WrestleDream. Dave went on to say the wrestling star could “show up”.
Before Dynamite, the X account known as Boozer/Better Wrestling Experience, who often reveals spoilers, posted that the former WWE superstar is “closer” to becoming All Elite more than ever. PW Insider’s Mike Johnson also states that the Rated-R Superstar has been taken off the WWE’s internal roster list, despite still being listed on the website.
Could he end up at the WresteDream event? Is he the devil-masked superstar?
It’s hard to speculate. Only time will tell if fans see the former WWE Champion at some point in All Elite Wrestling.
