While the trend has typically been WWE superstars heading to AEW, looks like the tide could be turning. Not only has Cody Rhodes jumped ship, but recently Jade Cargill created a massive buzz when she left All Elite Wrestling to join Vince McMahon’s promotion. Is Ricky Starks next?

Will Ricky Starks Join His “Friends”?

The wrestling world was shocked when Cody Rhodes jumped from All Elite Wrestling to the WWE in 2022, and Jade Cargill’s recent signing created quite a stir. Will Starks be next?

Absolute has come under fire recently for providing public support for Jade going to the WWE. When asked if he would be heading to the other wrestling company, the Better Wrestling Experience handle on X/Twitter tweeted that “its there” and they’d give it a “75%” chance unless “something happens”.

In addition, Brandi Rhodes (Cody Rhodes’s wife) added to the speculation when she tweeted about the AEW star in relation to Jey Uso and her hubby. You can view the post below.

He attended the 2023 Royal Rumble this past January, as a guest of Cody’s. The WWE had also shown interest in him after his 2020 AEW debut.

At the age of 33, he started in this business in 2012 and was very much a fan of wrestling in his younger years. At the age of 17, he debuted as a WWE enhancement talent, jobbing to Jinder Mahal.

He eventually landed in the NWA from 2018 to 2020 before becoming All Elite. His debut match in AEW had him answering Cody’s open challenge for the TNT Championship on the June 17, 2020, edition of Dynamite.

Unfortunately, he lost that match. Still, over the years in AEW, he’s held the FTW title and won the 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Cup.
