With two pro wrestling companies in the United States, WWE and AEW, it provides talent more options. Then, there are Impact Wrestling and NWA, which have both been around for decades.
A about a week ago, Alexa Bliss and Ryan Cabrera welcomed their first child into the world, named Hendrix. After just giving birth, Bliss is expected to remain off TV.
Although, she noted during her pregnancy about the urge of wanting to get back inside the ring. Upon her eventual return, her gimmick will need a tweak.
Prior to Bliss announcing her pregnancy, she was being lured to work with Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy. When Wyatt passed away unexpectedly in August, it basically stopped any angles WWE was thinking of.
Fightful reports how Bliss’ WWE contract was set to run “at least through 2023.” That will end in less than a month.
While not confirmed, WWE will likely add on time for nine plus months Bliss was away. It is something they have been doing more frequently as it keeps talent under their nose for a bit longer.
Bliss always seemed happy in WWE and they should offer her a new deal. Besides money, WWE might need to make some adjustments as traveling with an infant is messy.
On the AEW side, Figthful noted how Chris Jericho is signed until “at least the end of 2025.” With Jericho being one of the top guys since AEW debuted, they do not want to lose him.
The 53 year old continues to reinvent himself and almost seems not to age. Arguably, he is more popular now than he was 25 years ago.
Currently, Jericho and Kenny Omega have been teaming together. They have worked with the Don Calls Family and seem to have entered a new program with The Young Bucks.
So, will Alexa Bliss and Chris Jericho look for work outside of their respective promotions when their deals are up? Or, is their current placement just right?
