Before Mercedes Mone joined AEW, she was known as Sasha Banks in WWE and apparently she was difficult to work with; according to one name.

It took longer than excepted, but Mercedes Mone has finally debuted for AEW. Honestly, the moment was discussed since she left WWE about two years ago. Although, an injury delayed her debut. Eventually, she signed with AEW and then quickly won the TBS Championship. After all the talk, that is where we stand at the moment.
Many thought Mone would return to WWE, where she went by Sasha Banks. Naomi walked-out of WWE at the same time, but she returned at the start of the year. On an episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, former WWE personnel Jonathan Coachman noted how Mone was not easy to work with. “I don’t think she’s [Mercedes Mone] great at all,” said Coachman. “So, I never thought she was this whole bag of chips that everybody thought she was here [in WWE] as Sasha Banks. And, she was difficult to work with too.”
Compares Mercedes Mone To Other Top WWE Names
“There are certain superstars that, over the years, act a certain way backstage, and they get a certain reputation, and they can’t get rid of that,” continued Coachman. “And Sasha [Mercedes Mone] had that. So, when you heard some of those numbers that she was asking for, you know, WWE or AEW, I was blown away that either side was even entertaining a deal the magnitude of what she reportedly got, because I agree with you, she’s never been the star that Becky Lynch is, that Charlotte Flair is, or that Rhea Ripley is.”
Looking back, she was a huge star in WWE. I do not think they saw her in the same picture as Charlotte or Becky. This seemed to be the biggest issue, as Mone believed she a megastar and WWE did not agree. Hence, friction was created and continued. So, is Jonathan Coachman on-point about Mercedes Mone being too difficult to handle as Sasha Banks in WWE?
