At Forbidden Door, Britt Baker returned to AEW TV. She had been gone about 10 months and later revealed she suffered seizures. Instantly, she began a program with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. They have already been confirmed to wrestle at All In later this months from Wembley Stadium in England. It is being billed as one of the top matches on the card.
Ahead of their meeting, both have traded words. Speaking with Ringside Collectibles, Britt Baker ripped into Mercedes Mone. “I’m more of a thorn in her side because now I’m back, and the games are over,” said Baker. “You can’t just look in the mirror and pretend. Now you have to live up to it, and you’re not the face of the division, I am. So who’s the thorn in whose side? It’s me because I’m the friendly reminder that you’re full of s—.”
Britt Baker Might Not Be Happy With AEW
Certainly strong words from the challenger. For the first few years, the AEW women’s division seemed to revolve around Baker. Then, AEW shared the spotlight and brought in names from WWE, TNA, NJPW and NWA. Certainly, the division is in a better place than it was two years ago. AEW is really into Mone, hence I think she wins.
Plus, we learned Baker was suspended by AEW for two weeks. Basically, she made comments about MJF and his girlfriend heard them in the women’s locker room. She told MJF, who punched a hole in the wall, and AEW investigated. As a result, Baker went home and nothing happened to MJF. Many, like myself, think both parties should have punished. So, will Britt Baker vs Mercedes Mone deliver at All In?
