We are clearly getting CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre at some point, but is WWE looking to have the match inside Hell in a Cell?

When CM Punk returned to WWE, they had to change WrestleMania 40 plans. It looked like Punk would challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship. Then, in his first televised match back, he was injured in the Royal Rumble. The injury took place after Drew McIntyre dropped Punk. As a result, WWE had to once again redo their storylines for WrestleMania 40. While the match is not official, Punk and McIntyre should be wrestling this summer.
Already, the feud feels very personal. When Punk returned, several wrestlers were vocal about not wanting him there. McIntyre was one of those names and he vowed to hurt him. And, that is exactly what happened. When two wrestlers have such issues, a gimmick match is often used. During the Clash At The Castle post-show media scrum, Punk was asked about working a Hell in a Cell match. No interest from Punk. “I mean this with all due respect, this is why I’m happy you do not run a professional wrestling company,” said Punk. “First match is a Hell in a Cell? Brother, you gotta take that fantasy booking s— somewhere else.”
Two Butted Heads At Clash At The Castle
At Clash At The Castle, McIntyre had the title won. A referee was knocked-out and Punk decided to grab a shirt and get involved. He cost Drew the match from Scotland. On RAW, McIntyre quit WWE before appearing on SmackDown. Punk was left bloodied by McIntyre, leaving to question about his health. Personally, I think Punk might not be fully cleared and that spot on SmackDown helped drag the storyline.
Considering the hatred between these two, they do not need a title. They can carry an angle for months. Hopefully, at the end, McIntyre does get a title reign with fans present. And, Punk gets his WrestleMania main event. All of that is possible for WrestleMania 41. So, would you want to see CM Punk and Drew McIntyre battle inside Hell in a Cell?
