Time for another NXT in a Nutshell, and following his return last week, what will Trick Williams do now?

I have to figure we go with the oh-so-obvious revenge match, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes in a no holds barred match at Stand And Deliver.

And let’s be realistic. We’ve already seen Hayes work his way onto the main roster.

Meaning…he’s probably landing there full time soon. Like, perhaps after WrestleMania.

So, Philly would be a good time for a send-off.

In case that didn’t make it obvious, with Roadblock over and done with, the black and gold brand can now totally focus their energy on Stand and Deliver.

Some of it was set up already, but there is more to come.

So, with an eye toward WrestleMania weekend…it’s time for…

NXT In A Nutshell: What Will Trick Williams Do Now?

Let’s crack open this Nutshell and see what happens!

Best Match of the night:

I am going to go with Oba Femi and Brooks Jensen.

Worst match of the night:

Lexis King against Mr. Stone.

Short and uneventful.

Or maybe Arianna Grace and Gigi Dolin. Feel like we’ve seen that stipulation before, not all that long ago.

Star of the Night

Oba Femi continues to grow into his North American Championship reign.

The Family and Ilya Dragunov did a lot of lifting in those segments, making it hard not to be excited for their title clash in a few weeks.

Spot of the Night:

Would it be Ridge Holland dropping Shawn Spears through the announce table? Perhaps…

Seeing Dragunov put in a trunk was interesting too (though, can we not get The Family something a bit more…in character?)

Jobber of the Night:

I think I go Mr. Stone here. Or Gigi.

Then again, I could go with Kelani Jordan. Good to have options.

Upset of the Night:

Thea Hail wasn’t just upset, she was ticked off.

The old Thea is back.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

I was a big fan of the Thea snap back, for one.

Trick going off against Meta Four was good.

Williams getting Lash Legend? That takes the cake.

Botch of the night:

Nothing caught my eye.

Noteworthy Moment:

Trick Williams closed the show, laying down his challenge to Carmelo Hayes.

So, Hayes was not there to answer. I am sure we can expect a response next week.

Overall lowlights:

For a nice two hour show I can’t really complain too much.

If there was one though? I’d say that Ava was a bit off when she addressed Roxanne…because Roxy had just explained why she went after Lyra.

Which Ava then followed by saying she attacked the NXT Champ “for no reason.

Overall highlights:

I wanted just a fun show, and this worked.

After a crazy busy Roadblock, it was a good follow up show on the way to Stand And Deliver.

After the final bell:

So, if I see things clear enough, we have some good matches on tap already in a few weeks.

Ilja and Tony. Trick and Carmelo.

I’d bet Lyra and Roxanne.

The groundwork for a few more is there, and should round it out nicely.
