Rhea Ripley Vs. Becky Lynch To Headline WrestleMania 40?
Becky Lynch survived the Elimination Chamber, meaning she gets to challenge Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40. They will battle for the Women’s World Championship, which Rhea won back at WrestleMania 39.
Last year, there was huge conversation on what would close night one. In the end, WWE had Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn win tag team gold from The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso).
Some wanted Rhea vs. Charlotte Flair to close, but WWE did not go in that direction. And, those ladies stole the show.
As for WrestleMania 40, Rhea is looking to headline; fixing the possible mistake by WWE the year prior.
While speaking to Daily Mail, Ripley was clear she deserves to close the show.
“I think Becky Lynch and I stepping into the ring is Mania main event worthy,” said Riply. “I really do.”
“The last time we faced each other was NXT leading up to Survivor Series and WarGames. That was Mama’s time to shine and it’s still Mami’s time to shine.”

“Mami is always on top and I’ve proved that time-and-time again. If we are given the opportunity. If we take the opportunity to be main event, I hope Becky Lynch is ready.”
“I went out there and beat Nia Jax, the person that beat you [Lynch]. I also beat Lyra Valkyria, the person that beat you for the NXT Women’s Championship.”
“That’s two-for-two. Why not make it three for three and beat you at WrestleMania.”
We know Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns will close night two. Although, there is no clear indication on what headlines night one.
Bayley vs. Iyo Sky and Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre have to be in play, alongside Lynch vs. Ripley. Also, while not confirmed, The Rock & Reigns vs. Rhodes & Rollins could happen as well.
