Report On Nia Jax Since Returning To WWE

The pandemic was a difficult time for everyone. On WWE’s side, they let a ton of people go from office workers to wrestlers.

Some of the names released were not a surprise and others caught people off guard. Nia Jax was one of the names shown the door.

There was never an exact reason given for her departure. Like everyone else let go, WWE did not provide specific details.

Although, Nia was known for being vocal backstage about her opposition towards a vaccine. Because she refused to get one, she was not able to work in certain places.

Plus, she has been known for her physicality inside the ring. As a result, several wrestlers who have worked with her left with injuries.

She returned briefly to WWE as the final entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match in January. Even though she did not win, Nia got one of the loudest reactions of the evening.

Then, in September, Nia Jax returned to TV as a full-time member again of WWE. She has been assigned to the RAW brand, where she has mostly remained close to the tittle picture.

During Fightful’s Backstage Report podcast, Sean Sapp spoke about her backstage status.

“As far as that one did get a couple eye rolls from talent I spoke to, for sure,” said Sapp. “That being said, one of those people who shot me those eye rolls have said, you know what? Her work’s been pretty good since she’s been back.”

“Nobody’s gotten hurt and it looks like she’s worked to get into better shape. So, that’s about the extent of information I have on that one.”

At Crown Jewel, she was unable to win the Women’s World Championship in a fatal-five way match involving Raquel Rodriguez, Zoey Stark, Shayna Bazler and the eventual winner Rhea Ripley.
