“Hangman” Adam Page Update After Reports Of Broken Ankle

Dynamite saw trios action with “Hangman” Adam Page, Rob Van Dam & Hook taking Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe & Brian Cage. It was a standard match, but one moment had people talking.

“Hangman” appeared to injure his ankle during a spot. He was grabbing at it and shouted for the cameraman to go away.

After the match, he was seen limping to the back. Originally, reports stated he possibly broke his ankle.

A report from Fightful Select, has denied those rumors. Instead, it seems like an angle.

“At the conclusion of his match on the February 21 AEW Dynamite, Hangman was holding his ankle and encouraging the cameras to not film him,” the report stated.

“He was helped to the backstage area and limped there, but we’re told that this was an angle, and he was fine once he got backstage.”

“We’re told this could be worked into the show now, but upon returning to the backstage area, Page was completely fine. One talent used a phrase that has often been used in situations like this ‘yeah, he’s okay. He’s just good at his job.”

Thankfully, he is fine. Remember, in a few weeks, he and Strickland challenge AEW World Champion Samoa Joe at Revolution.

Also, do not forget the Revolution pay per view feature the retirement of Sting. It see AEW Tag Team Champions Sting & Darby Allin against The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson).

Perhaps, the ankle injury will play a role in the triple threat title match. I cannot imagine AEW shot that spot without a plan for the future.
