Gunther Unlikely Facing Seth Rollins At WWE WrestleMania 40 Because Of Visa Rules
The Royal Rumble was last month, but we still have no answer on who faces World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40. The chaos from the WrestleMania 40 Presser with The Rock, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Rollins answered some questions and created more.
We know Rhodes vs Reigns will headline one night of WrestleMania 40. Therefore, The Rock needs an opponent and there is no clear answer on what WWE will do.
Rollins could tangle with the names mentioned above, but WWE has a contender’s match booked. The winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber earns that huge title shot.
Many think Gunther should win. Although, that might not be possible because of some visa rules.
In an interview with Krone, Gunther revealed he missed some PLEs outside the United States. Basically, while Gunther lives in Florida, he cannot leave the country for six months due to strict visa regulations.
Therefore, he cannot make the trip to the Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. Hopefully, he does not miss too many international shows on the WWE schedule.
As of today, he holds the record for longest Intercontinental Champion reign at 610 days. Plus, he will surpass Pedro Morales for combined days in a little over a week.
Originally, Gunther was going to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, but allegations have wiped Lesnar from creative directions. And, Lesnar could be gone for good.
Certainly, a major blow in what many saw as a dream match that was teased at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
So, since Gunther will not be able to wrestle Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 because of via restrictions, who should he face?
