Pedro Morales Passes Away + More On Batista And AEW

‘-On last night’s SmackDown, WWE opened with an “in memorial” graphic. Former WWWF Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Pedro Morales has passed away.

Pedro Morales was born in Puerto Rico but moved to New York as a young boy. During his career, he appealed to many fans, especially those in his American home territory.

Morales held a WWE Championship for over 1000 days, and is credited as the first Triple Crown winner in WWE history.

-On Tuesday, WNZ reported that Batista was mulling over a WWE opportunity to return for WrestleMania. He was also reported to be entertaining new company All Elite Wrestling. Initially, it wouldn’t seem as though someone like Batista would hold a ton of appeal for the fledgling wrestling promotion. However, it looks like there could be something to this after all.

While Batista met with WWE last week, he apparently has met with someone from All Elite Wrestling more recently. Specifically, Dave Batista and All Elite Wrestling superstar Chris Jericho met up on Tuesday. PWInsider made note of a picture posted by Jericho on the G.O.A.T.’s social media accounts.

Now, it could just be two friends catching up and breaking bread. However, it would seem more likely that these two talked business. With The Animal considering another return to the ring, and having already talked to WWE, this meeting is more than likely much more than just old friends reuniting.

With Chris Jericho signed with All Elite-and booked in a big match with Kenny Omega for Double or Nothing-it would seem a sure bet that Lionheart pitched The Animal on trying out a run with All Elite.
