It’s been an interesting week or so for one of the bigger names in sports media, and now Pat McAfee is wrestling with ESPN.

No, not in a ring. Though, if he were going to…yes, that would be newsworthy too.

Instead, McAfee-who is paid handsomely for his show to be broadcast on ESPN-is wrestling with the broadcast giant over some interesting accusations.

And given what NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers said a week ago on the same show…well…it’s been a crazy week.

On the heels of the Rodgers bombshell, claiming that Jimmy Kimmel might show up in the Epstein papers…we have this one.

Pat McAfee Wrestling With ESPN Over Accusations

As it’s been summarized for us…there was a story late last week in print media. It claimed the Pat McAfee Show was struggling in the ratings, and was not living up to it’s price tag.

And, McAfee believes the source of the information is from ESPN themselves. He actually named the specific person (Norby Williamson) whom the former NFL punter and sometime WWE Superstar thinks leaked information.

So if you had McAfee accusing ESPN of trying to undermine his show on their network on your 2024 bingo card? Congrats, cross that one off.

This one is going to be interesting to watch.

While McAfee did some damage control for amplifying Rodgers’ accusations, this one is much closer to home.

He doesn’t often backtrack, and given how he was doing his own show on his own terms and loving life? I don’t see his ESPN contract stopping him from battling with the network.

If there turns out to be no truth to the allegations, then he could be in some trouble.

However, if what he said is correct? If the head of ESPN studio production had the information and leaked that information to any media outlet?

There will be much bigger questions to ask, and it seems unlikely that McAfee will let this one go.

The ex football player has not been on WWE TV too much as of late. Although, many cannot wait for him to return.

As a fan of his work when he gets to show up, I just hope this drama doesn’t prevent him from making any future WWE visits.
