CM Punk will be in the WWE Royal Rumble Match and he dropped a major tease about his wife, AJ Lee, also being part of the show.
CM Punk Teases AJ Lee At WWE Royal Rumble
The Road to WrestleMania official begins later when the Royal Rumble airs. We know one male and one female will emerge as victors and earn title matches at WrestleMania 40.
For CM Punk, a win means he goes to the main event of WrestleMania. The fact that Punk never closed WrestleMania did not sit well.
The show is coming from Florida, and lots of talent arrived earlier in the day. Punk was one of them and he might not have been alone.
In an Instagram story, Punk uploaded a photo of himself and woman waiting for luggage. You cannot see the face of the woman, but the size looks familiar.
Punk is known to mess with pro wrestling fans on social media and that might be what is happening.
Lee left WWE right after WrestleMania 31, which the company did not see coming. Considering how Punk and WWE were having issues at the time, her departure was not a massive shock.
WWE has only announced a few names for the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. It is possible Punk and Lee both leave with title shots.
Still, Lee returning and winning might be a stretch. WWE should promote a full-time talent like Becky Lynch or Bayley.
As for Punk, he has decent betting odds to win. And, this will be his first televised WWE match in over a decade.
He did work a live event opposite Dominik Mysterio in late December. But, many more eyes will see tonight’s show.
So, will AJ Lee appear and work the WWE Royal Rumble or is CM Punk having fun on social media?
