Braun Strowman Provides WWE Return Update After Neck Surgery

A few years back, as the world was struggling, WWE decided to release a bunch of names. It involved wrestlers and office workers being shown the door.

One of the biggest wrestlers released was Braun Strowman. It was surprising because he recently signed a new deal and was even Universal Champion for a bit.

Then, WWE rehired some people as Triple H gained more power. Strowman returned and worked against Omos before teaming with Ricochet.

In June, Strowman underwent neck fusion surgery. With that type of surgery, someone is typically absent for about a year.

Altough, some are cleared sooner.

In an interview with News18, Strowman revealed he just met with his doctor for a five month check-up. These are the same doctors who inserted a metal plate and four screws into his neck.

“So, I did my five-month check-up and got medically cleared to start lifting weights,” said Strowman. “So, the bones are fusing nicely in my neck.”

“Doc cleared me to start lifting weights again which was a major blessing because I was going crazy sitting around eight weeks of doing nothing. I lost 35 pounds just sitting around for eight weeks because I wasn’t eating like I normally do since I wasn’t lifting.”

“So, I didn’t need all those extra calories. Now, we’re trying to put the weight back on.”

“The goal for 2024 is to continue this. I go back after the first year to have another check-up and then get back in the ring, getting back into shape and then getting back to passing these hands out.”

Braun Strowman At The WWE Royal Rumble?

The Royal Rumble is next month and many superstars like to return at that pay per view. For “The Monster of All Monster,” it does not seem likely.

“I don’t know if I could be back in Rumble,” said Strowman. “That’d be great.”

“But like I said, I’m at the mercy of the doctors and what they say. I’m listening to them because this was a very serious injury that I had.”

“So slow and steady as the process on the company is so supportive behind me and stuff. I’m staying busy now.”

While off TV, Strowman has been serving in an ambassador type of role. Therefore, he has been present at several events.

When he returns, it will be intersting if Strowman returns to the main even scene.
