Booker T seems like a relatively nice person, but certain words by ex WWE wrestler Ahmed Johnson could see legal action.
Booker T Threatens Legal Action Against Ahmed Johnson
Wrestling fans of today probably know Booker T. As for Ahmed Johnson, you would need to locate a fan of the mid to late 1990s.
The two actually shared a ring a few times in WCW. When WCW split Harlem Heat, they created a new team with Ahmed Johnson replacing Booker T.
In obvious fashion, the change did not work. Booker T would continue to rise in WCW until WWE purchased their competition.
The two never liked each other and Ahmed Johnson challenged Booker T to a fight.
While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T did not like those comments and weighed his legal options.
“He said what a low life I was, going to prison for robbing people,” he said. “And, I must say, I did go to prison for robbing people.”
“I was a kid, and I think I’ve atoned for every piece of dirt I put down back in the day. I was a kid that made a mistake.”
“He’ll see a different side of me if he does tell a false story that’s totally not true. Because I’ve got facts, I’ve got receipts as far as everything I’m saying.”
“If he tells a lie about me, he’s probably going to end up in court. And, he’s probably going to end up getting sued from defaming me.“
Booker T And Ahmed Johnson’s Careers Went Different Directions
Johnson has been known to anger wrestlers. WWE liked his look, but he never understood the pro wrestling business.
As for Booker, he is one of the few wrestlers from WCW who became a star without WWE. Eventually, he would join WWE and retire with a bunch of title reigns to his name.
So, is the WWE Hall of Famer the type to sue Ahmed Johnson or handle matters on his own?
