Booker T has found a home calling the action for the NXT brand, but his WWE contract is up relatively soon. So, will he be sticking around?

Booker T WWE NXT Contract To Expire Soon

Booker T’s wrestling career is full of history.

He became a regular name after he starting teaming with his real life brother, Stevie Ray. Together, they formed Harlem Heat and are one of the most decorated tag teams in all of WCW.

Eventually, he found his way to the main event scene and even captured the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on a few occasions. He would hold that title until WCW was purchased by WWE in early 2001.

He was one of the few stars from WCW who remained towards the top. He split over a dispute about a Wellness Policy violation and then worked for Impact Wrestling.

WWE convinced him to return and he was seen on the kickoff shows for premium live events and served as SmackDown General Manager. Lately, the two time WWE Hall of Famer has been working the commentary table for NXT.

On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T went over his love for his spot in NXT. In the midst of his conversation, he also noted how his deal is up shortly.

One has to wonder if he dropped the line on purpose. He did not go into details about when his contract expires, but it has to be soon.

There is no word if WWE will offer him something to stay. Booker T’s excitement helps the NXT product, so hopefully he stays put.

Booker T did take part in the Men’s Royal Rumble in January fro Texas, but declared afterwards that he was officially retired.
