MJF has been working hurt and he will somehow do the same at Worlds End, but now he is having trouble lifting his injured arm.
AEW World Champion MJF Having Trouble Lifting Injured Arm
From the start of AEW, it was clear Maxwell Jacob Friedman would be a major star. First, he needed to turn heel and turning on Cody Rhodes did the trick.
For years, MJF was the most hated person in the locker room. Eventually, AEW turned him heel as he is now everyone’s favorite scumbag.
He also recently made history as the longest reigning AEW World Champion by surpassing a full year. Although, the reign might end at Worlds End against Samoa Joe.
Speaking to Solomonster, MJF discussed having PRP and EPAT done. Basically, the muscles are shocked to help them.
Still, the champion is having trouble with his arm.
“I’m not going to lie to you, I cannot lift my arm all the way up north south,” said MJF. “Probably not something I should be discussing publicly.”
“I’m kind of being known for being honest to a fault. I can’t lose this belt. This world title reign, it means too much to too many people.”
“Most specifically, it means too much to me. I’m going to go in there guns blazing, I’m going to give it 110%. I’ve wrestled Samoa Joe before, hardest match of my reign.”
Cody Rhodes Sees MJF Joining WWE
“I believe I’ve had 11 title defenses, I also hold the world of most title defenses of any world champion in the history of the company. Of every single match I’ve had, the one where I was in the most physical danger was Joe at Grand Slam.”
“I know what I’m heading into. But, I’m going to win because I have to win.”
If MJF is in such bad shape, AEW might have no other option than for a title change. Joe as champion sounds great as he seems like a locker room leader who can control the renegades.
So, since MJF is having trouble lifting his injured arm, is it time to drop the belt and get some rest?
