WWE’s Vince McMahon loves competition and so does UFC’s Dana White. Both are not afraid to play hardball and WWE’s boss claims he’s the better businessman.
WWE Vince McMahon To UFC Dana White: I’m A Better Businessman
WWE and UFC changed dramatically over the past twelve months. Both companies sold majority of their shares.
Collectively, they are now traded as TKO Group Holdings. Vince McMahon and Dana White still have plenty of power, but they now answer to other people.
Vince and the Undertaker were present at last week’s heavyweight boxing fight, where Tyson Fury did just enough to get the win over former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou. Many called the win controversial and think Ngannou won or at least a draw.
During the fight, Vince McMahon spoke to reporters. They brought up the merger and his relationship with Dana White.
“I don’t bust anybody chops unless they get in the way,” said Vince McMahon. “But Dana and I get along very, very well.”
“He’s a really good guy. We’re good partners and good businessmen. We’re good businessmen and we get along.”
“He’s a tough guy. I’m a better businessman.”
No clue if Vince was joking or being serious. In the end, both are businessmen who have lasted decades promoting their craft.
Those are interesting remarks as Dana recently stated that Vince tried to “f— me many times for no reason” in the past. Clearly, things have changed.
At one time, they might have butted heads seeing how they both ran huge companies. While they are different forms or entertainment, there are similarities which could see crossover work with talent from both organizations.
Since Vince returned to WWE, after a short retirement, he found his way back on the board so he could sell the company. He still has plenty of authority, although creative booking has been assigned to Triple H.
Dana White seems happy with the deal as his bank account skyrocketed. UFC, like WWE, brings in lots of money and they have the ability to travel the world.
So, is Vince McMahon or Dana White the better business person?
