WWE Icon Dwayne Johnson Courted to be Presidential Candidate in 2024

It’s been a topic of conversation brought up for years now, as a former WWE Champion continues to ponder the idea of throwing his hat into the ring to become the next President of the United States (at some point in the future).

It’s been a topic of conversation brought up for years now, but it seems that WWE icon Dwayne Johnson, AKA The Rock, the rock was actually courted to be a presidential candidate in 2024.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has his hands very full. From being an actor, and producer, plus, running Seven Buck and the XFL (and so much more). He even recently found the time to surprise WWE fans with an unexpected appearance on SmackDown.

During a recent visit to Trevor Noah’s What Now podcast, the wrestling legend notes that a number of political parties have come to him about running for U.S. President. In addition, speculation has run wild from a 2021 poll noting he had a 46 percent approval rating.

The Rock recently appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, and the topic came up again. Johnson noted that the idea is “crazy and it’s wild”, stating that it just never stops being “surreal”. He added years ago he was wrestling in flea markets for $40, and years later he’s sitting with Jimmy Fallon talking about running to become U.S. President.

He stated during the interview that he’s so “grateful”, and if “you” (the audience) are one of the almost 50 percent (that wants to see him run), then “I thank you with a tequila. He added that he “appreciates” it.

The Rock continued to say that “down the road for sure” he would run. Still, he reminds everyone that he’s a proud “girl dad”. As he was away wrestling full-time when his first daughter was growing up, Simone Alexandra Jonson (NXTer Ava Raine, age 22), he wants to be there for his other two daughters, aged seven and five.

Rock stated he wants to be around and “be a daddy” for them. As such, it looks like it may be a few years before fans see him running for the White House job.
