The Rock was asked by political parties if he wanted to run for President of the United States of America and he opens up on how it all unfolded.

Dwayne Johnson, known to many as The Rock, has accomplished seemingly everything career-wise. He made it somewhat far in football before switching to pro wrestling.
As a wrestler, he will easily be considered one the greatest ever. For his generation, either The Rock of Steve Austin will always been remembered.
While still in his prime, The Rock made the jump to Hollywood and he never looked back. Countless times, he has been listed as the highest paid male actor and his career is still growing.
Now, there was a time when people were telling him to run for president of the United States. It seemed like a stretch, but everyone wants to be in politics today; even if they have no experience.

During an appearance on Trevor Noah’s new podcast, he was asked about a pool from 2021 where 46% of American adults would support his presidential campaign. In fact, he was approached by parties if he wanted the spot.
“That was an interesting poll that occurred, and I was genuinely touched by it,” said The Rock. “I was truly astonished and felt honored.”
“Let me share this tidbit with you. Towards the end of 2022, I received visits from political parties inquiring about my potential candidacy and ability to run.”
“It was a big deal, and it came out of the blue. It was one after the other, and they brought up that poll, and they also brought up their own deep-dive research that would prove that should I ever go down that road [I’d be a real contender].”
“It was all very surreal because that’s never been my goal. My goal has never been to be in politics. As a matter of fact, there’s a lot about politics that I hate.”
When it comes to hating politics, he is not alone. It seems each year, American are less interested in what the government is or is not doing.
With the strike in Hollywood over, The Rock will be plenty busy making movies.
WWE has approached him about facing Roman Reigns. They were unable to make it happen for WrestleMania 39 and WrestleMania 40 seems like a stretch too.
