John Cena & His Future With The WWE
The former 16-time WWE Champion suffered a crushing loss to the Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa at this past Saturday’s Crown Jewel premium live event (PLE), which was held in Saudi Arabia. Interestingly enough, this could be the last time we see the legend in the company for a while.
Variety recently provided a report regarding the SAG-AFTRA actor’s strike. It’s important to remember that this strike was the reason behind the WWE superstar’s latest run with the promotion.
According to the report, the union stated that the 118-day strike would officially come to a close on Thursday (November 9) morning at 12:01 a.m. In addition, the negotiating committee for the union approved this agreement on a unanimous vote.
The next step is for the deal to go to the SAG-AFTRA national board for approval on Friday. Members of the union will still have to vote on the deal, a process that will take about a week, at the very least.
However, the strike has officially been called off, meaning actors can go back to work on Thursday. Will he head back to his day job, right away?
What’s Cena’s WWE Timeline?
It’s hard to say. It likely takes longer than a few hours for productions to get back up and running, so there’s a small chance that he could make one more final television appearance at SmackDown to wrap up storylines.
There’s a very good chance the future WWE Hall of Famer could go back to his Hollywood gig this week. Could last weekend’s PLE be the final big hurray for this superstar and his fans?
