The last match booked for this week’s WWE RAW had the Judgment Day’s Damian Priest versus Sami Zayn. Sadly, it hit an undesirable milestone.

WWE RAW Main Event Failed

Zayn versus Priest was a solid bout. Plus, the aftermath of the match further accelerated the storylines for this Saturday’s major premium live event (PLE) in Saudi Arabia, Crown Jewel.

Not only will Cody Rhodes face Damian Priest at the November 4th PLE, but now Zayn battling JD McDonagh. The match certainly helped move things along in this regard.

According to reports, the October 30th edition of the Red brand show witnessed a drop in viewers, compared to the week before. It was also the third-lowest rating for the show in 2023.

Still, the bad news doesn’t end there. Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio recently noted that the final match of the night was also the lowest viewing numbers for a RAW main event match, ever.

Meltzer states that 1.2 million fans caught the final match of the Red show this week. This makes it the least-watched main event in the show’s history.

Still, let’s give the main event match a bit of a break. After all, it was going against week 8 of the NFL Monday Night Football season, not to mention the MLB World Series.

Overall, the October 30th episode was pretty good. The Ivy Nile and the Creed Brothers debuted, which according to a report by Fightful Select, went over well backstage.

It seems as though the recorded “high point” of the show when it comes to viewership was the Miz TV spot that had IC Champion GUNTHER highlighted. The TV game is tough on Monday nights, so it’ll be interesting to see if the company starts to switch things up moving forward.
