With two of three television deals done…could RAW and SmackDown trade homes?

For those not quite up to speed, here’s a recap…

In 2023, RAW and NXT call the USA Network home. SmackDown comes at us from FOX.

However, in 2024, a lot is fixing to change.

Vince McMahon called the then-upcoming television rights deals a major reason he forced his way back into WWE.

And while that may not have turned out quite how he would have hoped in terms of sticking around and calling the shots, the deals each brand signs is sure to be substantial.

As of this moment, we know that SmackDown will once again be broadcast on the USA Network.

NXT will shift from cable to standard broadcast networks as it shuffles over to the CW.

RAW, on the other hand, remains unknown.

Could RAW And SmackDown Trade Homes?

Maybe not an exact trade, but close.

According to the Wrestling Observer, FX is seen as the clear leader to land Monday Night RAW beginning in 2024.

So, in a way, we might see broadcast giants trading pieces of the WWE pie.

FX being one of FOX’s big channels, landing a show such as Monday Night RAW should likely aid in boosting the channel’s profile.

Still, it would be kind of very weird to turn on television next year on a Monday night and find RAW somewhere other than the USA Network.

But, while USA might have RAW now, there is some speculation that the network, in spite of the deep pockets of Comcast, may find that the rights deals for both RAW and SmackDown are items it cannot put together the funds for.

On top of that, there’s talk that we might not even see SmackDown remain on Fridays, and one thing is clear.

The 2024 television landscape, as it pertains to WWE, is going to look quite a bit different.
