Jerry Lawler is still in rehab following a stroke in February. He provided an update on his situation, which included problems with his speech and handwriting.

Jerry “The King” Lawler should be considered one the biggest stars in pro wrestling. He has been wrestling for over 50 years and has been champion at least 100 times.
The past decade has seen Jerry Lawler deal with various health issues. This a man who almost died after wrestling a match on RAW and then headed back to the announce table.
In February of this year, Lawler suffered his stroke. The first one was in 2018 and he somehow recovered enough to keep wrestling.
This time, he is still in rehab as he tries to get back to some form of his previous self.
In an interview with Bill Apter from Sportskeeda, Jerry Lawler went over having trouble with his voice and writing.
“I’ve had a bunch of different things and I’m still in rehab three times a week,” said Jerry Lawler. “And, probably the main thing that’s drawing me back now, that you can probably tell as you hear me talk, my voice is not the same as it was beforehand.”
“It’s slowly coming back. But, it needed to come back a little more before I could make sense with my speech and vocabulary.”
“When I just started this, right after I had the stroke, I could barely talk. Now I go in and I sit down with this rehab lady and we just talk about different things.”
“She had me read stuff, and all of this stuff has just helped me day in and day out getting my vocabulary better.”
“The King” takes great pride his artistic skills and signature. Both of which have taken a hit since the stroke.
“My right arm and my right leg and everything on my right side of the body, it’s not hurting me where I can’t walk around,” said Lawler. “I can still walk around, but I don’t have really good control of writing my autograph.”
“I can write my autograph pretty good, but I’ve been so proud of my autograph and artistic ability. But, that’s all sort of taken a while to come back.”
The WWE Hall of Famer has not called WWE action since about 2020. He did appear before a Memphis crowd during a RAW show in late August.
He was sporting a white goatee, which makes sense for someone who turns 74 in just over a month.
