The opening match of Fastlane saw Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes end the short tag title reign of The Judgement Day. As we have seen lately, WWE held a press conference after the show.
Several wrestlers were present, including Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. Apparently, they were celebrating after the big win.
It felt like Jey was having a blast out there and Cody was trying his best to answer questions, while having fun. It resulted some entertaining moments.
It does not seem like WWE cares as Triple H spoke as well and thought it was amusing. After a grueling pay per view bout, you cannot blame them for wanting to relax.
The only questionable thing might be Jey’s history with alcohol. He has encountered charges of DUI.
At one point, those within WWE were concerned Jey was not taking care of himself, despite being placed well in the company.
It has been a few years and Jey has steered away from trouble. In fact, the past few months have been nothing but memorable.
After leaving The Bloodline, Jey became the first person to pin Roman Reigns in three years. Then, after being moved to RAW, he was placed right away in the main event scene.
For Rhodes, this marks his first title since returning to WWE almost two years ago. While it is great to hold tag team gold, he wants the prize that Reigns has been carrying around.
As for the future of two tag titles, there were reports WWE was going to send each set to a specific brand. We will see if that still happens now that Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes hold the gold.
