Jade Cargill Stepping Away Pro Wrestling After AEW Exit?

Jade Cargill is getting plenty of attention after returning to AEW. She is making news as she seems done with the promotion.

After taking a hiatus, the first TBS Champion returned and got right into it with Kris Statlander. They had a rematch, which has already been taped and saw Statlander retain the gold.

That match will air later tonight on Rampage. The two embraced after the match, although we will have to see if that makes TV.

In the back, Cargill shared hugs with members of the AEW roster. While not official, it was seen has her departure from AEW.

Sean Sapp stated on Fightful’s paywall how Jade Cargill told a few members of the roster how she was going to focus on her minor league baseball team.

“Upon returning backstage following her match with Kris Statlander in Cincinnati, Jade was greeted by several members of the roster who exchanged hugs,” said Sapp. “It was seen as a farewell within the company.”

“There were many within the company that said she was headed to WWE, but we’ve not heard that she explicitly stated that. Instead she told people she may focus on family and her softball team that she and Brandon Phillips own.”

Cargill and her boyfriend, MLB’s Brandon Phillips, own the Texas Smoke. It is a women’s softball team, who won the Professional Fastpitch League Championship.

Naturally, people are wondering if WWE is the next step. For now, it does not seem like Cargill is sharing too much information.

From the start, AEW pushed Cargill right to the top. She went on an undefeated streak that went to about 60 wins before losing to Statlander.

Her only losses in AEW came to Statlander. She could go work for WWE and might even be able to bypass NXT for the main roster.
