There has been plenty of speculation of late, but is a major Superstar leaving WWE soon?

We already know that, with the Endeavor deal for WWE closing, budgets are being scrutinized, and some seemingly obvious contracts are still in a pending state because of the actual business side of the house.

On top of that, this one Superstar has been in a bit of limbo all year.

Specifically, Drew McIntyre.

The former champion took a big chunk of time off in the middle of 2023, following a banger of a triple threat match at this year’s WrestleMania.

During his time away, rumors swirled about his contract status with the company, and whether he would just walk away…or even head to AEW.

The longer he stayed away, the more people talked, but things looked up when he returned at Money In The Bank in front of his biggest fans.

But still we ask…

Is A Major Superstar Leaving WWE Soon?

There is a new answer to this question, but it’s one that is not necessarily so definitive that we won’t be asking again relatively soon.

According to PWInsider, due to his missed time, as WWE is known to do, they’ve tacked on time at the end of his existing deal.

Now, sources believe McIntyre’s deal expires right around WrestleMania.

As for a new deal? That is, as mentioned before, on the back burner while the merger wraps up.

But, as McIntyre himself has commented on, he’s read the reports that he was away because he was unhappy (he was recovering from injuries) and he just takes it in stride.

He knows there are rumors that he’s not in love with what he’s doing now, or he wants an idea of his creative future, but his comments he made during the recent tour of India contradict that.

Many fans wish we’d get to see Drew get one more title run, considering a lot of what he got to accomplish happened during the pandemic when, sadly, no fans got to be present.
