Batista Open To WWE Return During SAG-AFTRA Strike

We are seeing interesting times in WWE. With the SAG-AFTRA strike shutting down almost all of Hollywood, lots of people have time on their hands.

This includes John Cena and The Rock, who usually have a packed schedule. Due to the Hollywood shutdown, Cena has been appearing for several weeks in a row and The Rock was on SmackDown as well.

The two even shared a moment in the back. Maybe, we will get Cena vs. The Rock 3.

Another name could also be looking to return to WWE TV now that he has free-time. Dave Batista is open to returning to WWE, at least in a non-competitive sense.

During an interview with ET Canada, Batista discussed his retirement ,but could see something happening if it makes sense.

“I had retired,” said Batista. “Yes, I had my retirement match against my mentor, my buddy, Triple H.”

“It was perfect, but right now my schedule is open. And if he calls me and has something in mind, a segment, a moment sure we could do something.”

WrestleMania 35 saw Triple H defeat his protégé in a No Holds Barred Match. The next night, “The Animal” retired after completing everything he wanted in pro wrestling.

He should be in the WWE Hall of Fame, but the pandemic and his busy schedule have seen the induction frequently postponed. Perhaps, if Hollywood still cannot get their stuff together, Batista could join the 2024 class.
