Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes ended their six month feud at SummerSlam, but there are reports “The Beast” was injured in the process.

Brock Lesnar Injured During SummerSlam Match

At SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes met for the final time. The series was tied at one win each before Rhodes left SummerSlam the victor.

After the match, Lesnar then proceeded to go off script. He shook Cody’s hand and then they raised their hands together as sign of respect.

From those watching at home to those inside the arena, the moment left mostly everyone shocked. Seemingly, Lesnar made the switch from heel to face after his trilogy with Rhodes.

We are not sure if that was WWE’s plan or if Lesnar simply went out there and did what he thought was best.

After the show, Lesnar was scheduled to return to TV relatively quick. Now, Survivor Series in November or the Royal Rumble in January seem like better options as he takes a hiatus from WWE.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted Brock Lesnar was injured early in the match. In the report, it did not disclose the type of injury sustained.

His contest with Cody featured a good amount of brutality using sheer force. Hence, it is not too surprising someone walked out hurt.

And, he was not the only one to suffer an injury. Roman Reigns was also hurt during his main event win over Jey Uso. He did not appear at the post-show press conference and there has been no update on his status.

WWE has plenty of time before WrestleMania 40, which will likely see Lesnar and Reigns in two of the biggest matches that weekend. Hopefully, they heal and are able to work the massive show.
