Simple theme once again for this RAW In A Nutshell…we are hoping for a wild night in Winnipeg.

As WWE continues it’s Canadian tour, the red brand has landed in Winnipeg.

So what can we expect?

Certainly more between the Judgement Day and whomever they wish.

More between #1 contender Chad Gable and Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.

Plus, we need to find out what was going on with Shinsuke Nakamura as he kicked Seth Rollins’ head off last week.

All that, and probably some Payback hype that I am overlooking.

So, it is time to see if we have…

Let’s crack open this Nutshell and find out!

Best Match of the night:

Tonight was kind of a process of elimination thing, but the main event was the best going.

Post-match action was where it was at, with Cody moving on from Brock Lesnar and now going against a stronger Judgement Day.

Worst match of the night:

Becky and Trish was another nothing-burger. Ended with a double count out, and in the concession stand.

Adam Pearce said next time, steel cage…but he didn’t say when or where…or what cage…

Crowd Chants of the Night:

Say what you want, but Winnipeg was not a great crowd.

Star of the Night

The Judgement Day sent us off air leaving Sami and Cody beaten and battered.

Let’s presume we see some sort of Judgement Day versus Sami and Cody tag match at Payback.

Would we see a six man tag, or eight, given that McDonagh is now a hanger-on? And if it’s eight, will Kevin Owens be cleared in time…and if yes…who else would join the face trio?

A few weeks to sort that all out, but it will be interesting to see how this goes.

Spot of the Night:

Not a wrestling spot…but…

Jobber of the Night:

Sure, it was nice to see her back…but Indi kinda got jobbed out to Rhea.

Upset of the Night:

Fans who wanted a clean ending to Trish and Becky? Upset.

Sami and Cody? Upset with how the night ended, even though both Superstars got wins tonight.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

An interesting conclusion to RAW, with Judgement Day destroying both the American Nightmare and Zayn.

Surely there will be more wrinkles here, but with Judgement Day seemingly about to add a new member…the heroes could certainly use some backup, and not just KO.

Botch of the night:

The landing by Cody when taking the superplex did not look good.

It was called out by the announce team, and it may have been OK, but it looked a lot worse than it needed to be.

Like Rhodes landed almost on the side of his head. He bounced back fast but it did not look ideal.

Commentary of the night:

Nothing of note here.

LOL Moment of the night:

Chelsea Green may have one of the best characters going, and her telling Pearce she was going to lawyer up before she surrendered her tag titles was just funny.

Noteworthy Moment:

We have a new Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Piper Niven is back, and she told Chelsea that’s how it was going to be…

We’ve heard plenty that Imperium wouldn’t add someone…but with tension…would they simply break up, or lose headcount?

New Day versus Glas-Bro for I guess a shot at the tag titles?

And…I really want to know what Nakamura may have said to Rollins. Storyline, it rattled the champ.

Overall lowlights:

The crowd felt bland, and I feel like it took things down a peg or two.

Beyond that…not going to complain about too much.

Overall highlights:

Some cliff hangers leading to a decent looking RAW next week. New Day against Drew and Riddle for one.

Gable and Gunther are locking horns next Monday, unless we get some non-finish that leads to a rematch for Payback?

After the final bell:

With summer fading ever so slightly, and Payback coming up in a few weeks, it was sort of that “lull” show, where we had some good…plenty good, really…but some just flat.

A hot crowd like we’ve seen in recent weeks probably helps this show…but the crowd was not hot.

Next week, Quebec gets a chance to get things back on track!
