For years now, AEW has produced a Blood And Guts Match with only men. But, moving ahead, will Tony Khan introduce a Women’s Blood And Guts Match?

Women’s Blood And Guts Match Coming Soon?

Days ago, AEW produced another installment of Blood And Guts. This year, The Golden Elite defeated the Blackpool Combat Club, Konosuke Takeshita and PAC. Towards the end of the match, Takeshita and PAC left their teammates behind.

Like in the previous years, AEW tried to outdo the violence. There was plenty of blood and an array of weapons.

Before the show, Tony Khan took questions during the media call for ROH Death Before Dishonor. He was asked about a women’s Blood And Guts Match. Khan noted “depth issues” and the injuries as reasons for nothing being put together.

Looking at the women’s division, there is an obvious split with The Outcasts and Dr. Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter on opposite sides.

Also, Khan noted how AEW just finished running the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Basically, AEW had too many things happening at once.

While there are numerous female talent, two of the top names are out. Hayter has been off TV for months and barely made it to her last minute, while Thunder Rosa has not competed in roughly a year.

“Some of the momentum for that, when Jamie Hayter was running hot as champion, was there,” said Khan. “I’m not sure at this moment, given some of the injuries we had, that was feasible.”

“Also, with so many of the women competing this week in the Owen Hart Cup tournament, it is a very hard-hitting match and there is a lot of attrition for it. The women’s division is pretty beat up. They’ve been beating the hell out of each other.”

So, is the next logical step for AEW to produce a Women’s Blood and Guts Match?
