As per a report, there’s been a number of segments nixed from the April 17th edition of RAW. This has left some WWE locker room paranoia. Especially in light of Vince McMahon’s increased presence. Plus, a disheartening update on Bobby Roode.
WWE Locker Room Paranoia
Mike Johnson from PW Insider notes that there has been some “slight” “bubbling” paranoia among talents backstage. Especially for wrestlers who came back to the company when Triple H took over creative control, after Vince’s retirement.

This has increased since WrestleMania 39, as a number of reports have suggested segments have either been nixed or changed at the last minute. These have been linked to VKM.
In fact, according to the report, the backstage segments cut involved female stars. As per reports, Bayley was pulled from a RAW segment.
Meanwhile, some fans may recall how Seth Rollins walked out due to being flustered during his RAW after ‘Mania segment. It was interrupted by an unexpected commercial break.

Johnson notes in his report that a number of stars that “returned” to the company after McMahon left, are concerned. While there are no “edicts” that have been handed down, many feel like they are “walking on eggshells”.
This feeling has progressed since Vince’s return. It’s hard for these superstars to not be concerned, considering the circumstances.
After all, Vincent Kennedy McMahon “retired” from the WWE in the summer of 2022 due to his hush money scandal and alleged sexual misconduct. HHH took over the reins as Chief Content Officer and creative lead.
Shortly after this, Trips rehired a number of WWE stars who were released under Vince McMahon’s regime. This included Karrion Kross and Bray Wyatt, among others.
Then a mere six months after VKM left the WWE, he returned, much to everyone’s surprise. Now that the company has been sold to Endeavor, there may be some slight uncertainty around everyone’s future.
To boot, Vince is far more active backstage since his return. This continues to increase as he resettles himself back into WWE activities.
In other WWE news, it’s also been a while since audiences have seen Bobby Roode. There’s an unfortunate update on the talent, below.
Upsetting Bobby Roode Update
The last time Roode was seen inside the squared circle was last June when he faced Omos at a house show. Bobby’s final televised match took place on the SmackDown before WM 38 as he participated in the when Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
Roode took a break from in-ring competition last summer. This was followed by fusion surgery in September.
Roode Is Not Returning “Anytime” Soon
Reports surfaced in November 2022 stating that Roode would return to action soon. Unfortunately, this won’t be the case after all.
According to Fightful Select, The Glorious One won’t be making a comeback to the squared circle, anytime soon. Here’s hoping his recovery goes smoothly.
Bobby Roode signed with the WWE in 2016. It didn’t take long for him to snag some gold and become NXT Champion.
He made his main roster debut in 2017 and headed to Friday Night SmackDown. During his tenure with the WWE, he’s held the U.S. title and 24/7 Championship.
He’s also been successful within the tag team division. He held the RAW Tag Team Championships at one point with Chad Gable.
He also held the Red brand tag titles with Dolph Ziggler, as well as the SmackDown Tag Team Championships with him. Before stepping away from the WWE, he and Ziggler were enjoying a nice run, feuding with MVP and Omos.
Sadly, a lot has changed within the company since the 46-year-old stepped away from in-ring competition. Here’s hoping he can get back into action, very soon.
