While we initially reported Roman Reigns was probably going to return at WrestleMania 35, it seems the WWE has changed its plans! Roman Reigns is now scheduled to appear this Monday on Raw.
News Confirmed by Vince McMahon Himself
Contrary to some of the rumors going around this week, Vince McMahon has officially confirmed the news of Roman Reigns’ return on his Twitter account with the following message.
“Roman Reigns (aka Joe Anoa’i) will address the status of his fight with leukaemia this Monday on Raw. #fighter #proud #classy.”

It is no secret that both Raw and SmackDown Live are struggling to keep their audience interested. So Roman Reigns’ return is undoubtedly meant to counter that. Since the man has a massive following, Roman Reigns is bound to draw some people.
Absent Since October
Roman Reigns has been away from professional wrestling since October 2018. On October 23, he announced he needed some time off to resume his fight against leukemia. However, he did make it clear he would not retire from wrestling completely and that he would be back.
One of the final updates we received about Roman Reigns’ health situation came from Seth Rollins. In January, Rollins stated the following:
“Roman is doing great, he obviously spent the holidays home with his family and he’s doing really good. He’s in a good position. He’s primed to make a comeback, hopefully sometime sooner rather than later.”
“But, at the end of the day, he’s just focusing on getting healthy right now. I will say that he’s doing good, he’s in good spirits.”

While it is currently unclear if Roman Reigns is just appearing with an update or if he is returning to wrestling, his return is certainly exciting and I am sure a lot of tears will flow from fans. I cannot wait to see Roman back on Raw! Welcome back Big Uce!
