The TNA-WWE partnership is going strong, with Jordynne Grace making history on the NXT brand as big things continue on the USA Network.

Jordynne Grace could be called the first shot in the burgeoning relationship between the two promotions. After all, Grace arrived as an entrant in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble and impressed. That appearance was her first within the WWE family of shows, but has not been her last. She’s shown up in the Performance Center, and she also challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship along the way.
Since then, we’ve seen NXT talents show up in TNA, and even better, more TNA stars showing up in NXT. Most recently, Joe Hendry worked the NXT No Mercy main event in Denver. While he did not win, he continues to impress-as have basically every other TNA star we’ve seen as part of this relationship. On the same card, former WWE Superstar Zachary Wentz also wrestled, getting the win over Wes Lee for the TNA faithful.
Now Grace Is Going Big
On Twitter during the September 3rd edition of NXT, Jordynne Grace posted a video (it may have aired on the show, but I saw it on Twitter first). And the video allowed her to drop a big bit of news. Next week is WWE Week on the USA Network. RAW will be on the channel, as it will until the end of 2024. NXT will be, with just a month to go before it heads to the CW. And then, SmackDown makes it’s USA Network debut on Friday. Knowing it’s a big week, we knew we’d get big happenings.
Having Grace defend her Knockouts title, on NXT, in an open challenge? I can’t say anyone saw that coming. OK, I am sure those in WWE and TNA did, but it was a nice move regardless. What we don’t yet know? Who would step up to challenge her. Presumably it would be an NXT Superstar, but I wouldn’t even be shocked if another TNA star showed up in Orlando to answer the call.
