A surprising new agreement between TNA and NXT to share Joe Hendry may be setting him up his eventual jump to WWE in the future.
TNA Wrestling star Joe Hendry has taken the wrestling industry by storm over the last year. The 36-year-old has been a notable name in the European and independent wrestling scene in recent years. However, his brand has exploded due to his popular theme song.

That is why it was met with great excitement when he showed up in NXT last month. Since then he has become a pivotal part of the talent-sharing agreement between the WWE’s developmental league and TNA. However, when it comes to Joe Hendry, that arrangement was recently expanded.
“We’re in a situation where TNA Wresting have worked it out with WWE where I can appear on TNA Wrestling as a contracted talent, I can appear on NXT, and I can train at the Performance Center full-time and do indies and signings,” Hendery said in an interview with Matt Camp this week. “This is unprecedented. It’s never been done before in the business. So thank you to TNA and WWE for figuring it out.”
Hendry being able to train at WWE’s Performance Center is a very interesting addition to this relationship. The Scottish star reportedly still has quite some time left on his contract. So WWE is helping improve his skills for his work with TNA.
However, being able to get him in their system and show how they can make him a superstar is a very unique recruiting tool the company is sure to take advantage. If he were to eventually sign down the line, it might also mean he bypasses NXT and goes straight to the main roster.
