At WWE Bad Blood, Gunther and Goldberg nearly came to blows as everyone is wondering if the match will actually happen.

During Bad Blood, Triple H had a special announcement regarding Crown Jewel. At the event this year, and moving forward, WWE has made a major change. The two top champions from RAW and SmackDown, will meet for the Crown Jewel Championship. It will see both the men and women get their own match because we did no have enough belts at the moment.
Gunther came to ring and spoke to Triple H about the match, which could feature him as he is the World Heavyweight Champion. Before all was said and done, Gunther turned is attention to Bill Goldberg; who was in the crowd alongside a bunch of wrestling legends. They nearly came to blows before security regained control.
Goldberg Might Get One More WWE Match With Gunther Before Retirement
On the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer believes this will lead to a match. “Why would they do the angle if they aren’t going to do the match,” questioned Meltzer. “Maybe they will do it at Mania. They are bringing everyone else back. They could also say they don’t need it at Mania and they could do it at Royal Rumble or something. It’s actually a Saudi match but Gunther is facing Cody, unless Sami wins. Maybe Sami wins with Goldberg’s help? It sure felt like they were doing a match at some point.”
First, Gunther needs to get past Sami Zayn on RAW. I do not see WWE putting the belt on Sami, but Goldberg could get involved. After the match, Goldberg saves Sami and eventually a match is booked for Survivor Series or Royal Rumble. For Goldberg, he might finally get his wish for a farewell match in WWE. If nothing follows the Bad Blood angle, then it was pointless.
