After 11 months, Drew McIntyre and CM Punk concluded their feuded. At a win each, only Hell in a Cell could contain their hatred. They opened the show in spectacular form, producing a candidate for match of the year. And, as expected, it was a brutal encounter where each wrestler bled and were covered in marks.

Following Punk’s win, he could barely get to the backstage area. After tripping and falling for the second time, medical personnel ran-down to provide oxygen before Punk left on his own terms. McIntyre was able to leave on his own power. Both looked like they just survived a horrific car crash. So far, we only have an update on McIntyre.

“The Scottish Psychopath” was banged up after the the match, according to PWInsider. The cut on his head, which he got after Punk drilled him with heavy metal toolbox, was a gusher and not intended. It is no surprise McIntyre required 16 staples to close the wound. There was so much blood from McIntyre, the referee tried several times to clean his face from the thick red color starting to stain. There were a ton of a nasty bumps, including towards the very end. McIntyre missed the claymore kick and land on the steel steps inside the ring. The problem, is it appeared his lower back took the brunt of the fall as he landed on the edge of the steps.

Both deserve a few weeks to rest and heal their bodies. I am not sure where McIntyre goes next after focusing on Punk for nearly a year. Punk will seek win the Royal Rumble in January and then main event WrestleMania 41. Remember, that was a major reason for his shocking return last year. So, how long will Drew McIntyre be out after Bad Blood?
