We already know that CM Punk is close with her, so now we can ask: will Roxanne Perez get her dream match with AJ Lee?

Basically since the day CM Punk returned to the ring-first with AEW-fans wondered if his wife would join him. As we know, AJ Lee never worked a match in AEW. And with Punk now back in WWE, there have been hopes and dreams of an AJ Lee return for just about as long as he’s been back in the company. And someone Punk is very friendly with-Roxanne Perez-is one of those who badly wants a Lee return.
A dream match?
The current NXT Women’s Champion revealed to Pro Wrestling Illustrated that in her conversations with the Second City Saint, she takes the time to pester him about getting AJ Lee back into the ring. Admittedly, that return may be a really big ask. The former champion has not worked a match in nearly a decade, and by all accounts is happy doing her own creative thing outside of wrestling.
But that has not and will not stop Perez from using any avenue she can to get one of her dream matches. Roxanne Perez has long wanted a big match with AJ Lee, something she’s not been shy about. According to her, Punk’s reply is that he’s trying to convince AJ Lee to return as well. If he can’t convince her, who can? No one has managed to make that happen. But, as we all know within the wonderful world of professional wrestling-never say never. Perhaps she has another long run in her?Or maybe she just fancies a few special attraction matches? Or, crazy idea, maybe she just stays retired.

One thing is abundantly clear. Plenty of fans and Superstars want to see AJ Lee return. What we don’t know is whether Lee has any desire to do so. And, of course, if WWE officials want it. I have to think if she wanted to return, the door would be open.
