It’s time for the SmackDown results for November 29, 2024, and the big question looming is….who is going to survive Saturday?

Quick Results:
- Shinsuke Nakamura defeats Andrade. Post-match, LA Knight was looking to get a piece of Nakamura. Instead, he got green mist.
- Cody Rhodes defeated Carmelo Hayes. I do feel like we are seeing a slow burn heel turn possibly for Cody Rhodes. It is at least possible, with what has gone down.
- Michin takes care of Piper Nivin and Lash Legend to move on in the women’s US Title tournament.
- Jacob Fatu defeats Jey Uso, winning the New Bloodline the advantage in WarGames
Best Match:
The match quality generally started strong and finished strong. Best of the evening was the main event, hands down.
Worst Match:
Not a match. I am going with the opening segment, for reasons I will get into in the next segment.
Noteworthy Moments:
Maybe it’s just me, but that opening segment on SmackDown, for the women’s WarGames teams? It did not work for me. It came off way too awkward. Yes, I get it, the teams aren’t always a perfect group. However, the whole segment, especially on the face side? Just felt less than ideal.
In the grand scheme though? If they all show out on Saturday? Then it won’t matter, so long as the match is entertaining.
With Jade Cargill out of action, Lash Legend got the big opportunity in the women’s United States Title tournament. Feels like she’s more up than down now, doesn’t it?
Speaking of up, B-Fab came out to run off Chelsea Green during that triple threat. Rumors of a push seem to be merited.
Holy Sh!@ Moments:
The drama that some caught on after the Punk reveal? It was furthered by the segment between Heyman, Punk and Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns said-repeatedly-that he didn’t need CM Punk.
CM Punk said-repeatedly-that he was there for his friend Paul Heyman.
Heyman, ever the wise man, said that if they didn’t play nice for a day and handle Solo, they’d both be up a creek without a paddle.
So Roman Reigns agreed. As did Punk. But as Reigns said one time, Punk said one favor. Not a favor from Roman Reigns, but rather one from Paul Heyman.
Reigns is dying to know what the favor is. Heyman said it can wait until after WarGames. The plot thickens…
Lowlights:
Can I harp on the women’s segment one more time? OK, that’s it.
Beyond that, the show worked.

Considering this was a taped SmackDown? It worked out quite well. Liked the title tourney, liked Nakamura and Andrade, Cody snuck in a good match with Carmelo. And then, of course, the main event cooked.
After The Final Bell:
Survivor Series is finally here. Considering the big ending to last year’s WarGames match, might 2024 top it? I doubt that, but stay tuned. Maybe I will see you on the other side.
