Let’s get into our SmackDown results for November 1, 2024, considering that Crown Jewel is incoming…and this show was taped last week.

Quick Results:
- Liv Morgan defeated Tiffany Stratton. Match was set up by the segment before it, where Liv and Nia Jax faced off to hype their battle. Stratton got involved and teased a cash in in Saudi Arabia, which led to the match.
- The Street Profits defeated Pretty Deadly
- Naomi and Bayley defeat Candace LeRae and Indi Hartwell
- In a fatal four-way ahead of the tag team match at Crown Jewel, IYO SKY defeated Bianca Belair, Lash Legend and Piper Niven
- Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton defeat Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser
Best Match:
Not a match first, but the OTC Bloodline segment was good. Got Roman to yeet, got Jey to release some pent up feelings, and the family healing might be getting started. Maybe.
Match wise, the main event was perfectly fine.
Worst Match:
It was weird watching the women’s tag match, knowing that it had been recorded last week, and that WWE released Indi Hartwell a week later (Friday, today, the day the taping aired.)
Noteworthy Moments:
I think WWE is getting to the point of having fun with the leaked results. Meaning, the results leaked prior to the airing? The match order was different.

Holy S@!# Moments:
Jimmy asked Roman to drop his beef with Jey. Now, we knew this would happen for two reasons. One, it was taped last week. Two, Jimmy and Jey were on RAW and the tag match was announced for Roman, Jimmy and Jey against Solo and company. This is the downside of taping, I suppose. But it all led up to Roman saying yeet. Which is the holy s@#$ moment for me.
Otherwise, post-main event? Kevin Owens sneaks in and attacks Orton, and Gunther prevents Cody from intervening.
Lowlights:
Not happy WWE cut Indi, Tegan and Corbin. I get Nox, she was snake bit. The poor woman could not catch a break with injuries. Maybe she catches on somewhere, maybe she comes back. Baron had the physical part down. He had size, strength, the Golden Gloves pedigree. But when it came to having “it”, well, he just didn’t. I do wonder, did WWE ruin him with the failed cash in? It was such a bad failed cash in, it was a blink and miss it thing. But maybe he wasn’t the same since. Some wrestlers can handle a failed cash in. Otis is fine (not so much a fail, but a pivot). Cena absolutely could. Not Corbin.
Highlights:
For a double show, it was fine. You could tell that the crowd was gutting it out, as were the talent. After all, it was basically a double show.
I liked Jey calling the three of them equals now. Jimmy has not had a crack at a world title, nor held a singles belt, but if WWE gives him that push too? This helps him, I do believe.
Cannot wait to see MCMG dispatch Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.
Oh, and after this one, hopefully we only have like one more show, maybe two, of hearing about and seeing the repulsive Crown Jewel titles.
After The Final Bell:
Watching us head toward a Bloodline versus Bloodlinee clash at Crown Jewel, I have to ponder one thought. Maybe more, but one I will share. Having a triple threat in the WarGames match is not impossible. We did see one in NXT shortly after it was revived, did we not? (We did, the first year). So what if maybe we got it again? New and old Bloodline is fine, but you’ve got Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn…both not attached to either side. Both with plenty of history with. What if it was new versus old versus a team that hates both? Probably won’t happen, but why not?
