Going to get right to the point, it’s time for our RAW results for October 7, 2024, and guess what-it’s a two hour show now.

Quick Results:
- Jey Uso successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship against Xavier Woods. Post-match, things got interesting. We had more Kofi/Xavier tension, but also last week’s “Mr. Nice Guy” act is over for Bron Breakker, who speared all three.
- Sheamus defeated Pete Dunne in a good ol’ fashion Donnybrook match. Honestly thought they’d get this to Dunne, but I was wrong. Curious if this ends things between them, or where they go next.
- Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Zelina Vega and Natalya defeated Unholy Union and Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler of Pure Fusion Collective.
- Gunther successfully defends the belt again Sami Zayn
Best Match:

There were a few, but this one goes to the main event and it wasn’t even close. Gunther and Zayn ran it back. They had a superb WrestleMania clash, and tonight’s battle was no different.
Worst Match:
The eight woman tag. Mostly because it was a mash up. Yes, I get the issues teams have with each other, but it was just a busy match that didn’t help any team or individual really shine.
Noteworthy Moments:
Opened the show with Punk basically sounding like he’s going to take some time off to heel from Hell In A Cell-which is understandable. That was a brutal match, and for Punk to emerge banged up but otherwise intact given his recent injury issues? That’s a good thing.

Of course on his way out, Seth Rollins came out. Seth was sure to give Punk a shoulder bump, and then vocally confirmed that he hopes Punk heals up and gets back, because they have unfinished business.
Holy Sh#$ Moments:
I completely forgot this was a two hour show. Worked out for me as I was under the weather, and two hours was plenty. I did kind of miss the third hour, and I do wonder how fast Netflix adds the third hour back.
Lowlights:
Missed the third hour of RAW. Perhaps this makes WWE Creative get, uh, creative about using more talent with less time. Or something. Maybe some of those Superstars who belong only on SmackDown will, you know…stick to their own two hour show for a bit?
Or are we inching closer to an end of the brand split?
Highlights:
Really good open between Punk and Rollins. With the show down an hour, you don’t want to “lose” a chunk to promos, but these were worthwhile and needed. Hot open, into a strong first match. And of course, we closed with a super television main event.

After The Final Bell:

Crown Jewel is just about a month away from this RAW, and it seems like the released poster is safe. Gunther defended, so barring some other last minute change, we are locked in. It will be Gunther and Cody (a nice nod back to Cody’s Rumble, perhaps), and Nia Jax against Liv Morgan.
